Brighton cookery school is a fantastic, fun way to spend an evening learning to cook quality food (and drinking wine) taught by local food legend- Chef Messa Ben. Trés bon!
As a keen cook I was given the street food course as a present. Must admit, I was a bit sceptical given that I would be on my own, and wasn’t sure what to expect, but I had a great time. I learnt new skills (including how to fillet a chicken thigh) and was pleased with the results. Ben and his team were fantastic, and really looked after us all – no easy feat when there are people at different levels, including children. Glad I went, and would definitely think about going on another course.
Thanks so much to your team for yesterday’s pasta making, I’ve had great feedback from everyone who came and I’m sure we will be back again in the not so distant future! Once again a huge thank you for making the session fun and accessible for all the children, it was a pleasure to work with you.
We had our teambuilding event here today and everyone loved it! Ben was a great teacher, very helpful and patient and the entire experience was informative and was expertly managed from start to finish, including the booking process! Thank you from everyone at Topsail Insurance!
Really good tips , helpful, friendly and informative, would book again. Very practical cooking lesson with lots of things made easy and practical so that it is straightforward reproducing the dishes at home for friends and family. Will book again in the future.
I went on the sushi rolling course, the rice and a wide choice of fillings were ready-prepared, so that helped us concentrate on the actual rolling of the sushi. Great fun, the instructors were helpful and the other participants were friendly. I came away with my tasty creations. Looking forward to doing another course sometime.
I cannot rate Ben and his wonderful team highly enough. This was a fabulous activity. We were greeted with Prosecco and canapes, followed by as much wine as we could consume. Ben talked us through the process of making a fruit roulade with Chantilly cream and a chocolate fondant pudding, all step by step so it was really easy to follow. All ingredients and equipment are provided and laid out, as soon as you have finished with an item the team swoop into action and clear up for you – it’s wonderful! Whilst we were creating our desserts, Ben’s team were busy preparing our lunch – it was superb in flavour and quality. Our silliness was tolerated, in fact encouraged and we had such a laugh. Anything that we didn’t eat on the day was kept in their fridges overnight so that we could collect them the next day before travelling back from Brighton. These guys clearly love their jobs, thank you for providing such a wonderful afternoon.
