Beginners Knife Skills – Fish
Monday 6th May 2019, 6.30pm-9.30pm approx.
Our knife skills beginners classes will turn any kitchen novice into a culinary knife ninja! After our host Chef has shown you the tools of the trade you’ll be working with, you’ll go on to sharpen your knives before learning the many different knife techniques to sharpen your skill set in the kitchen.
Beginners Knife Skills – Fish will have you tackling a variety of fish and accompanying sides in our second knife skills session of the year. You’ll work on locally sourced round fish to create ceviche and salmon to master the sashimi cut to nibble on to keep your belly happy before you move onto mastering filleting a flat fish along with cooking technique before sitting down to enjoy with your fellow foodies after the knife skills class.
You’ll be using our Chef’s choice of knife, Wustoff, we will teach you all the tricks of the trade so that you can understand how to choose the right knife for the job and use your knife to best advantage. Most importantly, you will learn how to use a knife safely. Wustoff knives are available to buy from us at any time, but place your order at the class and receive a 15% discount.

Included in this session: 3-hour profession knife tuition with dining, all ingredients, protective apron and mineral water throughout. Nibbles and one-course dining with your fellow budding Chefs with a complimentary glass of wine or beer served with your meal. You are welcome to B.Y.O to this event.
